Lone Pine Cottage

Named for the single pine tree that once stood on this spot, Lone Pine has the same vantage point as the one-time sheep herder who sat here long ago overlooking the Bay. Sophisticatedly rustic with a “Maine” style of its own, Lone Pine Cottage has a covered porch, patio, and a set of stone steps and a few stairs. As you step onto the covered porch and see the view, you will take a deep breath and smile. The view is across Eggemoggin Reach, East Penobscot Bay and the setting sun . . . magical! There are two bedrooms; one with a queen bed, the other with two twin beds and a full bath. The living room has a hide-a-bed that sleeps 1. The full eat-in kitchen is complete with a gas stove, microwave, eating/cooking utensils, silverware and dishes. It has a refrigerator, toaster, coffee maker, iron and ironing board, pots and pans and of course a lobster pot. There is a washer and drier. There is DirecTV, “country WiFi” and a landline phone. It is a short walk to the Ocean Swimming Beach and the hiking trails of Lookout Rock. Perfect for singles, couples and families or a honeymoon retreat!
